Tesamorelin: A growth hormone-releasing hormone analogue and its research applications

Tesamorelin, also known by the brand name Egrifta, is a synthetic peptide that mimics the naturally occurring growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It works by stimulating the pituitary gland to produce and release growth hormone (GH), which subsequently increases the production of insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1).
